We purchased the Pet Partition to keep our dogs from jumping over the seat and getting into our newborn's face. We were happy to find one for $50 vs. the $100 we were seeing at other retailers. It took less than 10 minutes to unpackage, read the instructions, and install in our '04 4Runner. It was really simple to assemble and adjust to fit. It does it's job nicely without obstructing the view out the rear window. One thing to keep in mind is that it uses tension between the floor and roof to stay in place. Depending on how much your rear seats lean back, the vertical bars change the cargo area slightly, but it's simple enough to pack around. I would highly recommend this product.
Exactly what I was looking for.June 15, 2009 K. Landreville(Milwaukee, WI USA) I was looking for a sturdy partition to keep my lab in the back of my Chevy Equinox and this works perfectly. The instructions were easy to read, and I installed the pet barrier in about 5 - 10 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised how sturdy the metal construction felt. No tools are required and all the components are included. I didn't realize that the barrier adjusts to such a different range of heights, which was nice to see. I did a lot of price comparisons and compared reviews for this pet barrier as well as a few others and in my opinion, this pet barrier was the best option - not to mention the price was very reasonable. Now that I have my pet barrier and have had my lab in my truck several times now, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to others.
Works great with my two labsJune 25, 2009 J. Harrison(Tennessee, USA) We have two very hyper-active labs and just bought this for a our toyota 4runner. It came very quickly and was very easy to install. The dogs are no longer able to jump over the back seat, they can still put their noses thru the holes so the kids can still pet them, but they are contained in the back. I does not obstruct my back window view and does not make any rattle noises while driving! Very happy I bought this product, great price also!

Barben The Heiniger Automotive 4050 CommuteMate Pet Partition installed easily in my 2009 Honda CR V in back of the folded up rear seats. I installed it myself in under five minutes including the add-on rung which is needed for this configuration on a Honda CR V. The partition worked with my Australian cattle dog and 85-pound Lab--no problems.
