Annie and Andy - Dalmatian AdoptionThis is beautiful 4 year old Annie. She and her partner Andy were rescued from an animal shelter. Right after rescuing her we learned that some time in the very recent past she was pregnant. Sadly, we don't know what happened to her pups and neither does Annie. :=( See all the items she is gathering in her bed. Both Andy and Annie have shown to get along well with cats, dogs and children.
Ideally we hope to find the perfect home for Annie and Andy that would want to adopt both of them. Annie and Andy will be spayed and neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations and microchippped prior to placement. If you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting this beautiful dalmatian please visit this link (copy and paste into your browser) to complete our on line adoption application:

AstroDog - Labrador Retriever AdoptionHi, I'm Astro. I'm a 67 lb. approx. 2 yr old male yellow/white American field-type lab. I'm great around kids of all ages and don't mind cats. I love being around other big dogs. I especially enjoy being around people, and would really like someone to be around home with me most of the time. I've been known to jump over 5 ft fences, so I'm looking for a home that has at least 6 ft high fences. Now that I understand what it's like to be in a loving home, I have not tried to escape even once. I just needed a routine that I could depend on. I love going for long walks and hikes, and ride well in a car, too. I'm a pretty low energy guy, but I love to play with toys and people and can run like the wind if you want to run with me. I have learned to sit and stay, and am easily trainable, because, you see, I'm pretty smart and am so eager to please. I have an awesome personality and temperament, very calm, and rarely if ever bark at things. I'm not a super happy camper in a crate, but I'll stay in there for a couple of hours or so. I'm completely housetrained at my foster home, and use a doggy door, but I'll need some guidance at my forever home. I don't dig, or counter-surf, or take people's possesions because I'm very respectful of your belongings. I don't jump on furniture or people, either. All-in-all my foster dad says I'm one of the most beautiful and amazing dogs he's ever met. I'm looking forward to going to my forever home and start living the life! If you're interested in a cool boy like me, please contact your family rep. ADOPTED

Bearton - Labrador Retriever AdoptionBearton is a 5 year old male Labrador Retriever mix. He has a beautiful soft, shiny black coat and a cute little curl in his tail. He is a mellow, sweet guy, somewhat on the shy side. Bear would do best in a quieter type of home. He gets along great with other dogs, although not much of a playmate he enjoys their companionship. Bear is completely trustworthy left alone in the house. Bear would do well with any age children as long as they weren't too loud or boisterous. He can get obsessed by cats and spend hours just staring at them, so it is best that he go to a cat free home. Bear has a barely noticeable limp in his rear leg that resulted from an old injury to his hamstring. He has been evaluated and x-rayed by an orthopedic specialist who says he has adapted well, is not in pain and that the injury is just cosmetic at this point. His hips and knees were xrayed and they are in perfect condition. The ortho specialist says that running and exercise would actually be good for him and help him stretch his hamstring out. Bear spent his former life in a backyard so he would benefit from some socialization with the outside world. He can be a little timid of new situations but warms up quickly. He has fairly good leash skills and knows the command of sit. He would make a great walking companion. If you think Bearton would be a good fit for your home please contact your family rep. ADOPTED

BeeGee - Labrador Retriever AdoptionBeeGee is the mother dog of the 6 puppies born in foster care. She is an extremely sweet and mellow black lab. She is also very petite. BeeGee enjoys spending time with her people. Although she does not mind other dogs, she is not particularly interested in them either. She would love a home that she would share with no other dogs and people who were home often. She needs to be an indoor dog, but loves her kennel and prefers to sleep in it rather than a bed at times.ADOPTED

Berkeley - Labrador Retriever AdoptionMeet Berkeley, a goofy 4 year old chocolate male. He weighs about 70 pounds, and could gain about 5 more. This healthy and delicious food he gets now should do the trick! Berkeley is a great buddy to have around. He is a sweet, wiggly, happy boy who LOVES attention. He is friendly with everyone he meets, person, dog or cat, big or little, shy or outgoing.... His favorite things are: treats, walks, playing with toys and last, but certainly not least, cuddling. He gives great bear hugs! Berkeley is a very sweet boy. He is well mannered, housebroken and really wants to please! It looks like he had a bit of a rough start to his life, but he is living in the moment now! He quickly learned to enjoy the comforts of a home and lots of love! He can sit, is working on stay and will give you his paw (gently) for a treat. If you want to make room in your family (or next to you on the couch) for this sweet boy, contact your family rep ASAP. Labrador Retriever Adoption - BindiBindi is 7 years old. We have had her and her brother since they were pups. She would be a great dog for a single person or a family. She is very social, loves people and pets. Loves walks and bike rides, and can't get enough playing fetch on land or in the ocean. She is crate & house trained. Has lived as an outdoor dog, indoor dog, and now 50/50. Obeys most general commands. Gets along well with our one year old and her antics. Is truly a people person dog. If she knows you are home, she wants to be in your company. With my husband's job demanding more of his time and a second child on the way, we are unable to give Bindi and her brother the attention they deserve. It would be great if they could stay together, but Bindi should do fine alone or with other pets. ADOPTED

A handsome 7 year old male chocolate lab for adoption - Bruno3 I am Bruno - a handsome 7 year old male chocolate lab. My life started out good - my family brought me home as a puppy complete with AKC papers. I grew up happy with 3 young girls until my family had financial and medical problems and gave me to a neighbor. He kept me in a dog run all the time and I was not cared for at all. But then I ended up in the care of Lab Rescue and life is good again. I live with my foster family who take really good care of me - baths, good food, and vitamins. Plus they took me to the vet to be neutered, blood work (it showed I am very healthy) and even a teeth cleaning. I never heard of dogs getting their teeth cleaned but I guess it was worth it because now they are all white and shiny. I am very calm when meeting people of all ages - although I love kids so much I sometimes lick them, but I never jump on them. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy being with them. I like my walks - I pull a little, especially at the start, but correct easily. I like car rides, but I do need a little help getting into the car but my foster parents say it is easy to do - I am a slim 75 pounds. You can put me in a crate and I will sleep all night although i would much rather be by your bed. If you want to leave for a few hours I am perfectly content in a secure yard with shade and water - no digging or barking - I just will curl up and take a nap, waiting for you to return. I do love my food so you probably want to keep an eye on your steak - some temptations are just too hard to resist. I guess you can say i am pretty much a low key low maintenance kind of dog. If you want to know more, please contact your family rep, but don't wait too long - my foster mom says I am so sweet that i will find a home really fast.Adopted

Buddy Zee - Labrador Retriever AdoptionMeet Buddy,
There is some information on Buddy that his birthday may be November 2003, making him almost 7 years old. Looking at his teeth, incredibly muscular and agile body, it is possible that he is in fact a younger dog, 5-6 years old. He has no grey in his coat, which by the way, is lusciously soft like velvet.
At some point in time Buddy was 'rescued' by his last owner. In these tough times this owner lost his home and changed jobs causing him to travel a lot. Buddy spent almost two months in boarding. While being fostered, Buddy has shown that he is house broken, a non chewer, non digger and doesn't bark much.
He has lived with other dogs in both of his foster homes, but his dream home would be as a solo guy, soaking up all the love and admiration of his new owner(s). He is a bit mouthy when playing ball and fetch, so he would be better in a home with older kids. While power walking he walks well on leash and would make a great running partner. He does well with lots of exercise. He sleeps at night with the crate door open. Buddy can be a little anxious at times, likes to keep tabs on the people in his life. Who can blame him considering what he has been through in the last few months. Buddy will make a great addition to the right dog savey family. If you are interested in Buddy, call your family rep.

Shadow - Dalmatian AdoptionThis is Shadow. He along with 9 of his siblings were abandoned at a Los Angeles high kill animal shelter. Two more of his siblings have also been rescued by Save the Dalmatians, they are at the vet getting spayed and will be posted soon. Shadow is a very sweet boy, estimated to be about 2 years old. He still has white pearly teeth and pink paws. He is in good health except for some flea bite dermatis which should clear up quickly.
Shadow gets along well with other dogs, shows no food aggression. His favorite place to be is with people. He will follow you where ever you go. He enjoys snuggling, napping and treats, which he takes gently from your hand. Has had no accidents in the house and appears to be housebroken.
Shadow has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped; and is ready to find a forever home of his own. Could that be with you?

Cadet - Labrador Retriever AdoptionCadet, now called Charlie, is a great dog. He is a 7 year old, chocolate male who weighs about 80 pounds. What can I say about Charlie other than he is a foster dream....he sleeps well all night, loves to walk and chew his bones. He needs a family that will be home most of the time to give him attention and love him. Charlie would be best in a house with older kids, teenagers would be best for him and no little children that could bother him or be in his face! Charlie is housebroken and walks well on a leash and he is very much a talker.... If you are looking for a wonderful family member, Charlie is for you. ADOPTED

Camden - Labrador Retriever AdoptionThis is Camden, a 3-year-old chocolate male who weighs about 84 lbs. His family had a new baby, had to move and they couldn't bring Camden with them. He is a happy guy who loves being around people and is very affectionate. He is a typical Lab in every way! He loves playing with other dogs but ignores barking dogs on walks. He is also very calm with our cat, he sniffs and wags his tail but otherwise he's just not that interested in her. He would be fine with children of any age, but be aware that he will knock small children over. He sometimes jumps during greetings, but stops with correction. He is completely house trained and crate trained and rides well in the car. He loves the water and running next to a bicycle. He settles well in the house, but loves to run and play outside. A more active family with a doggie playmate for him would be best!
Also, Camden is a bit hesitant on tile and hardwood floors. He is slowly getting more confident, but will only be placed in a home with mostly carpet flooring!
If Camden sounds like he will be a good fit for you and your family, please contact your Family Rep. ADOPTED

CameoCameo- my soul mate. The best dog I have ever had. We had 10 and a half great years together until she went to sleep in my arms on March 18th. No one knew what kind of dog she was a mixture of, but she had the best of every one of them in her. She was abandoned by her original owners, left at the pound and then rescued by me.
We treated her for heartworms, I trained her for therapy work.
She was totally loyal, loved water more than a fish did, and me. I will miss her every day for the rest of my life.

Charise - Labrador Retriever AdoptionPuppy can't hold her licker. If you want a dog who loves everyone and gives lots of kisses this 4 month old black female lab mix is for you. She is fine playing alone with her toys or a dog but what she really wants is her own special people. She is a people dog. She wants to please and learns quickly. She has a very calm stable temperment. She is curious about everything and is not fearful. She does have oral issues and housebreaking is a work in progress. She is not a barker and sleeps quietly in her crate all night. She will need training and supervision but in return she will fill your home with love and joy.ADOPTED

Charlie16 - Labrador Retriever AdoptionCharlie is 7 years old. We have had him and his sister since they were pups. He would be a great dog for a single person or a family. Easy going is the best way to describe Charlie. He loves walks, jogging with a bike, or going to the dog park. At the dog park, he wanders on his own sniffing everything. He doesn't play fetch, but sometimes steals the ball from his sister, after she has done all the hard work. He is crate & house trained. Has lived as an outdoor dog, indoor dog, and now 50/50. Ignores other dogs while on walks, lest they approach. Obeys most general commands. Gets along well with our one year old and her antics, and leaves 99% of her toys alone (some are just too tempting). With my husband's job demanding more of his time and a second child on the way, we are unable to give Charlie and his sister the attention they deserve. It would be great if they could stay together, but Charlie should do fine alone or with other pets.ADOPTED

Charlie Chaplin - Labrador Retriever AdoptionLet me introduce you to Charlie Chaplin (aka Charlie)! He is a wonderful dog! Charlie is a 1 year old chocolate male who weighs about 75 lbs. He is long and tall and still a puppy at heart! He is mellow in the house, but enjoys playing with other dogs and really enjoys his walks. He does not pull on leash and is easy to walk. He is wonderful with all the kids he's met. He hasn't been around cats. He is still a puppy and will need some minor training, like most young dogs do. He does counter surf for yummy treats and he likes to pick things up around the house like, towels, newspapers, etc. He should probably be crated when he can't be supervised until he proves he can be trusted. In his previous life, he was mostly an outdoor dog. Since he spent so much time in the sun, his coat is a little dry and sun bleached. He's been started on Fish Oil, and with a little extra TLC his coat should be back to normal in no time. Charlie would do best with an active family who has the time and energy to train a young Lab. He would also do best with another dog of equal energy for him to play with. Bottom line- you will not find a more loving, good looking, easy to get along with dog. He will melt your heart the moment you meet him! If you are interested in learning more, contact your family rep today!ADOPTED
