I have a pit bull Therapy Dog - you should too!

Hi there,

I just wanted to let anyone know that I'm happy to help provide training tips or tricks if you are training to get your pit bull to pass the AKC's Canine Good Citizen test or the more rigorous Therapy Dog test.

My own rescued American Pit Bull Terrier was used as a bait dog by her prior owners.  Within 4 months of living and training with me, she aced both her AKC Canine Good Citizen test and the rigorous Therapy Dog test.  As a certified Therapy Dog, she visits 60+ advanced Alzheimer's patients at a hospice facility weekly.  You can see video of her visits here: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/354737.  Daisy Mae is a great illustration of how the same dog can act under different HUMAN ownership.

2 of the Michael Vick dogs are Therapy Dogs now too and I personally know 7 others in my area.  So, it can be done and it's a great way to show that your dog is a breed ambassador.  Think it over!

Until there are none, please rescue one.  Consider a shelter before a breeder.  :-)
