Puppy Dog Dies While Waiting For Police Officer To Write Ticket

A San Marcos, Texas, police officer got a reprimand for the harsh and insensitive way he handled a traffic stop. He had correctly pulled over a speeding truck on the freeway. The vehicle was being driven by a couple racing to get their sick dog to an animal hospital.

Upon learning why they were speeding, the cop told the distraught driver and his girlfriend that he did not care about their dog and that it was just an animal and they could get another one.

Those comments are what got the deputy in trouble, not the original stop, which was proper.

The dog did die.
