This story is just unfolding, but Amazon.com has been sued by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) over allegations of sales of violent pit bull dog fight videos and cockfighting magazines. Such videos may be unlawful under US Federal and many State statutes. Our coverage is starting here: Humane Society Sues Amazon.comThis is commercial speech and not private speech so no "First Amendment" rights appear in play here. I've not seen the videos but they are alleged to cover pit bulls fighting in the way that television covers wrestling - but with the dogs suffering significant injuries. Thoughts?
