LOVE IT January 8, 2009 this is amazing! we have 2 big goldens, who shed A LOT. this does not stop the shedding, but reduces it significantly! much better than any other brush we've tried in the past. just don't use it inside the first time, or you will get hair all over everything! :-o
Fun to use! January 8, 2009 When you have a dog that sheds a ton, it's fun to get rid of the hair! The first time I used it, I had a baseball sized furball, from a Jack Russell. I do recommend trying to use it outside if possible. I was covered!
somewhat happy January 7, 2009 it works well for our lab mix with shorter more wirey hair but our retreivers coat lost its sheen and luster. the furminator seemed to give him split ends and it also made his dry skin/allergy issues worse.
Why didn't anyone tell me about this sooner??? January 7, 2009 Oh my gosh. I have allergies and am so pleased when I was told about this product. I got it for 1/2 the price it is in the store and couldn't beat the "free shipping." I have a golden retriever and it really helps to get rid of her fur, especially all the dandruff from her winter coat. I was amazed the first day of all the hair I removed. The other reviews were very helpful in my final decision, too. I have since told several other people about this secret tool!
It actually works! January 6, 2009 I've had my eye on the Furminator for a few months now. I ordered it once my vet recommended it as a solution to the shedding problem. I've only had it one day, but it's change my cat situation in a very positive way! My two cats shed so much. Every time I pet them there's dead fur in the air and wherever they sit. After a few brushings with this comb, the flying fur is gone. This makes having my cats on my lap, my desk or in my bed even more of a pleasure. The first few brushings left me with a huge amount of dead hair. It was like having a third cat. Strangely, my cats didn't look any different. But it was great knowing all that hair was gone. They really seem to like when I use the Furminator, especially if I use my other hand to scratch their face. It's a win-win deal. I wish I'd bought this years ago. I love my cats so much and this is going to make our lives so much happier (and my apartment fur-free!)
