Pedigree Dogs Exposed has aired on BBC America and caused quite a stir among breeders and those concerned with dog welfare. Allegations in the investigative documentary range from breeds being on the verge of genetic destruction due to breeding for cosmetic goals, to the killing or culling of perfectly healthy Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies for simply not having a ridge.
