There is a new winner crowned in the annual world's ugliest dog competition held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair. Called Pabst, the dog breaks the winning streak of the several Chinese Crested winners (including the late, great Sam) by coming with a boxer mix pedigree, if that can be called a pedigree!
According to a statement issued by the contest organizers, Pabst is a rescue dog adopted by owner Miles Egstad in 2006. The pair hail from California.
While it is the first time a mutt had won the contest in some seven years said the statement, the Chinese crested dogs were still well represented and even won the purebred or pedigree category with the unique looks of winner Miss Ellie.
