Today, we're going to show you some of their routine care including yearly vaccinations. Even today, morning rounds were made at the zoo and no problems with any of the animals were found. But, when problems do come up, the zoo's veterinarian swings by to help. Today, we meet her: Dr. Ann Olson, who is ready to administer yearly vaccinations to the camels: Mulan and Jane May. ((Dr. Ann Olson / Zoo Veterinarian)) Once a week, I come over to do general rounds with Brandi, who does the daily rounds twice a day. If there is a problem, they write it down and give me a call whenever they need to. I'm on call 24 / 7 for the zoo, and we discuss these things, come check it out if we need to and go from there. ((Jungle Joe)) We're going to follow along on what is a typical visit for Dr. Olson. Mulan is up first to receive her andamp;lt;a href=andamp;quot;http://www.kxnet.com/t/immunizationandamp;quot; class=andamp;quot;kxInlineLinkandamp;quot;andamp;gt;Immunizationandamp;lt;/aandamp;gt;. ((Dr. Olson)) Today we're going to give Mulan and Jane May their vaccinations for 7 way and tetanus. This is in case they ever get cuts or injuries. Also, they'll get their vaccination for rabies since they're around the public. We just want to make sure that we do the preventions beforehand. Ok, ready? That's one down. Ready again? Ok! All done! All done for another year with her vaccinations. ((Jungle Joe)) Now, it's time for Jane May to receive her round of vaccinations. ((Dr. Olson)) That a girl! One to go... Good girl! Ok, we're done! Any concern that comes up, we always check it out, look at the animal and go from there.
