Cesar Millan, tv's so-called Dog Whisperer, has become a US citizen, according to a statement issued by his television network. Millan had apparently passed the citizenship test earlier in 2009 but took the official oath on March 12, 2009.
Accompanying Millan were members of his family who, the statement says, were already US citizens; wife Illusion Millan and sons Andre and Calvin. According to the statement, Millan has been a legal resident of the United States since 2000 and was born in Mexico where he first developed and demonstrated an affinity for animals on his grandfather's farm.
The ceremony took place in Montebello, California, near the city of Los Angeles.
